Wear for the World

As new trends rise the fashion industry has become the second-largest polluter in the world, with its negative environmental impact largely driven by the fast fashion model. Fast fashion refers to the rapid production and consumption of low-cost, trendy clothing that is designed to be worn for only a short period of time before being discarded, creating significant environmental consequences. Therefore, under the theme of “ engage, enrich, and empower”, we curated our campaign to spread awareness and inspire consumers to make more sustainable choices when it comes to fashion.

Our project is called “Wear for World” because we want to emphasize that what we wear has a direct impact on the health of our planet. By choosing to wear sustainably produced clothing and supporting brands that prioritize ethical and environmentally responsible practices, we can make a positive impact on the world and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our Instagram account “Wearforworld” has over 220 followers and has reached more than 29.8k accounts. With over 20k views on clothes review on Instagram reels, the feedback of our campaign is overwhelmingly positive. According to our online evaluation, after the campaign is done, we saw a 20% rise of participants having bought a sustainable fashion product. Even if it is a small project, our group realizes that this is the stepping stones to the right direction for the foreseeable sustainable future direction.
